INTRODUCTION
Mandarin Communication skill is getting more and more important in the current global workforce. Mandarin is the most widely-spoken language in the world. Learn to speak Mandarin and you can speak with millions of people around the world. As well as China, Mandarin is spoken in countries such as Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines and Mongolia so if you do business in these countries then it would be beneficial to converse in their language.
This workshop on business mandarin is a 1 hr introductory workshop to the full 15 days course. In this workshop, trainer Selvi will cover why it is important to learn Mandarin, the current global trends as well as teach and practice some simple greetings.
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the full programme, participants will be able to:
- Participants will be able to recognize the importance of spoken Mandarin
- Be able to engage in a simple conversation
- Be able to understand Basic Spoken Mandarin
- Be able to Provide best services.
- Able to identify gaps on their current business or professional needs
TRAINER BACKGROUND:
Selvi Aldragen is an Engineer, Business Owner and a Corporate Trainer. With a career spanning 18 years , she started with Agilent Technologies Corporation with a UK First-Class Honors Degree as an R&D Engineer. Her last position was at Intel Corporation as Staff Product Development Engineer, with an Engineering Patent Granted in US and China. She was also leading a group of engineers in innovating world class test methodologies. Selvi was a regular In-
House trainer, providing wide range of technical and leadership trainings for Engineers in her Business Unit.
Her keen passion for Innovation and Leadership also gave her the honor of being the Chairperson of Intel’s Global Technical Symposium. Her talent is also highly sought after as a Regular Judge
in Nationwide University Innovation Competitions. Selvi moved from a highly Technical Environment to Business Environment when she started to venture into owning and managing
a well-known preschool franchise. This transition has given her more in-depth knowledge in leadership skills, managing risks, sales and marketing, etc. This also enhanced her decision-making abilities. The school has been operating for the last 5 years and has received the Most Impressive Center from the HQ Franchisor.
